Jewish cemetery in Yeghegis

Yeghegis Jewish cemetery, located in the territory of Yeghegis village, Vayots Dzor region, occupies an area of 1550 m.

The tombstones of the cemetery were found in 1997-1998. 64 complete tombstones were found և a larger number of tombstone fragments. The oldest tombstone is dated 1266, and the latest is 1346. Thus, the dates of the inscriptions on the tombstones show that the cemetery has been functioning for more than a century.
